Country Style Tortiglioni with Meat Sauce

• 400 g of Vita Sana tortiglioni

• 680 ml Regina Molisana Passata 

• 200 g of ground beef

• 2 sausages

• Regina Molisana extra virgin olive oil

• half an onion

• half a glass of white wine

• a pinch of chopped rosemary

• a pinch of black pepper

• sea salt


In a crock pot, put 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and a chopped half onion. Add the ground beef, sausages and a pinch of rosemary. Cook untill brown. Pour in the white wine and let it cook until the liquid has evaporated. Add 680 mL of Regina Molisana Passata, and add sea salt and black pepper to taste. Cover and cook over very low heat until the sauce becomes thick (about 3 hours). In a separate pot of boiling salted water, cook the Tortiglioni for 9 - 11 minutes. Toss the Tortiglioni with the sauce and serve hot. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
